Bajo de Masinloc, also known as Scarborough Shoal and Panatag Shoal, is located 124 nautical miles west of Zambales, and is within the country’s 200-nautical mile exclusive economic zone (EEZ).

Bayan Muna chair Neri Colmenares said he took photos of the dredger, which was with another Chinese vessel, while filming a documentary in Zambales province in February 2019.
