local.descriptionThe Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) is offering an educational scholarship to assist the children of small-scale fisherfolk who are interested to pursue their college education. BFAR Region 2 Director Jovita Ayson said the bureau is offering at least 10 scholarship slots to qualified applicants for a four-year course degree in fisheries. She explained that the scholarship under the BFAR’s Fisheries Scholarship Program is offered to deserving and qualified fourth year high school students of the current year who must not be more than 20 years old.
