local.descriptionThe Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in Iloilo mobilized 40 personnel to secure the bangcarera miniature paraw race at Port San Jose in Barangay Hoskyn, Jordan, Guimaras today. The PCG deployment began on Saturday, the opening of the 47th Iloilo-Guimaras Paraw Regatta Festival. PCG-Iloilo commander Lieutenant Rodolfo dela Peña said their personnel will “provide crowd control” during the annual event that gathers hundreds of spectators.
