  • Red tide calamity

  • Renewed vow to revive Visayan Sea

    The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and the provincial governments of Cebu, Iloilo, Negros Occidental, and Masbate have renewed their commitment to revive the Visayan Sea. A covenant on the commitment was signed by BFAR National Director Eduardo Gongona, Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor Sr., Negros Occidental Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr., and representatives of Cebu Gov. Hilario Davide III and Masbate Gov. Antonio Kho during the 2017 Visayan Sea Summit in Sicogon Island in Carles town last Saturday.
